Rodrigo Esteves, business and financial director at Vetorial, announced on Thursday afternoon (15
th) the beginning of the tasks (the kick-off) for Project Vista (Vetorial Integrada em Sistemas e Tecnologia de Automação / Vetorial Integrated to Systems and Automation Technology).
At first, Vista was merely the result of the search for initial letters that represented the change in the technological level that the project brings to the company by implementing the world’s most modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), which is the German system SAP.
According to Mr. Esteves, when the initials formed the word Vista it also drew attention because of the symbolism, because of the meaning and the representation of the challenges that the word has for the group in the coming years.
"Etymologically, the word has its roots in the verb To See (Ver” in Portuguese). But when it is conjugated in the second person imperative in Portuguese we have Vista”, explains the director.
Indeed, it was in this spirit that the project was announced for key users. The manager for the project at Vetorial, Mr. Bruno Boteta, asked everyone to get involved. "We have a schedule to meet and many challenges to overcome," he said.
The project Vista is SAP system based and will integrate all of the company’s procedures – from production to issuance of invoices. And from purchases to accounting.
