Vetorial organized on January the 26th, the I Encontro de Fornecedores de Carvão Vegetal (Portuguese for First Charcoal Suppliers Meeting).
The event took place at Estância Havaí, in Campo Grande (Mato Grosso do Sul - MS) bringing together over 380 participants among suppliers and their families.
The initiative celebrated the payment of loyalty bonuses, a benefit acquired by those who met targets for the supply of charcoal during the last quarter.
In the morning, four lectures were held:
Autorização Ambiental (environmental permit), by
Mr. Benjamim Duarte;
Vantagens da Pessoa Jurídica (advantages of legal entities), by
Mr. Olímpio Cardoso;
Importância da Qualidade do Carvão (importance of coal quality), by
Mr. Hélvio Caldeira, Industrial Officer, and
Bônus de Fidelização (loyalty bonus), by
Mr. Jalcimar Araújo, Charcoal Supply Manager.
Mr. Dito Mário, Executive Director at Associação Sul-Mato-Grossense de Produtores e Consumidores de Florestas Plantadas (Reflore/MS) was also invited to speak on planted forests.
After that, Mr. Carlos Humberto Pagliosa and Mrs. Claudete Rosa Pagliosa received the symbolic check from Mr. Juarez Peixoto, Director of Logistics and Supply and from Mr. Gustavo Corrêa, President/CEO of Vetorial.
The couple represented all of those who were awarded the bonuses, totaling R$ 819,352.26 distributed among 91 suppliers.
After a brief speech by Mr. Marcos Brito, the president of Sindicato da Indústria e dos Produtores de Carvão Vegetal de Mato Grosso do Sul (Sindicarv), Gustavo Corrêa reiterated Vetorial’s growth targets.
The company’s CEO highlighted his interest in acquiring all the charcoal legally produced in Mato Grosso do Sul.
The meeting program continued with a luncheon and a concert by local singer Patricia Cantaluppi.
Then, instrumental musician Marcelo Loureiro thrilled the audience with a flawless guitar, viola and Paraguayan harp performance.
By the evening, after the individual bonus payments, Vetorial gave a brand-new vehicle to one of the suppliers who met his targets.
The businessman Geraldo Mateus, from Carvoaria Anamoma Ltda. was the lucky winner and went home driving a new Strada Weekend.
